Terms of Service — Routelink

Effective Date: 15 June 2025

This Terms of Service agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of the Routelink service, including our web app, mobile app, API, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Routelink (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Routelink is owned and operated by Ottermake (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa with registration number 2020 / 593348 / 07.

By using Routelink, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of Service

1.1 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Routelink solely for your internal business purposes in accordance with this Agreement.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service.
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service.
Use Routelink to develop a competing product.

1.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. If you suspect unauthorized use, you must notify us immediately.

2. Data & Privacy

2.1 Personal Data

We collect and store personal data you provide for purposes of account management and service delivery. By using Routelink, you consent to this processing. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

2.2 Data Security

We take security seriously but cannot guarantee that the Service will be free from security vulnerabilities or that your data will always be secure. Please take reasonable precautions to protect your own devices and data.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws.
Infringe upon any intellectual property rights.
Transmit viruses, spam, or harmful software.
Overload or attempt to disrupt our infrastructure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

4. Availability and Updates

4.1 Service Availability

While we aim to keep Routelink running smoothly, we do not guarantee 100% uptime or that the Service will be error-free.

4.2 Maintenance and Changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts or all of the Service at any time, without prior notice. You agree to accept updates when offered.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

5.1 Free Trials

Routelink may offer a free trial period. You will be informed of the duration and any limitations. Only one trial per user or organization is permitted.

5.2 Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically unless canceled. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid further charges.

5.3 Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We do not offer refunds for partial periods or unused features unless required by law.

5.4 Payment Methods

You authorize Routelink (or its payment provider) to charge your payment method for all applicable fees. We are not responsible for overdraft or other fees.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the last 3 months.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that routes generated by the Service are appropriate and lawful for your use case.

7. Intellectual Property

Routelink and all content, software, logos, and trademarks are our property or licensed to us. You may not use them without our written permission.

Any feedback you submit may be used by us freely and without obligation.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

You violate this Agreement.
You fail to pay.
We discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your access will cease and we may delete your data after a grace period.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We'll notify you via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. All disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in South Africa.
